About

Imperfect Clay Co. began in January 2021. Born out of uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, Imperfect Clay creates whimsical jewelry and decor. Made by Romy in St. Albans, Vermont! Check out our segment on WCAX's 'Made in Vermont.'

Imperfect Clay Co aims to celebrate our natural world and the life experiences that make us all human. We often focus on the small details that sometimes go unnoticed in nature. We love to showcase the world in different ways- a single real milkweed flower when we are used to seeing them in a cluster. Our goal is to elevate the mood people are in through the various mediums we use. People get so happy when they see a daisy or a kiwi in resin! Primarily we use resin, clay, and wood. It is important for us to change with our community and offer genuine pieces that evolve with time.

We offer custom work whether it be a gender affirming pin, wedding bouquet preservation, or a memorial piece made with pet ashes. We pay careful attention to accessibility. We want everyone to be able to enjoy our art. We do this through design- like making sure our earrings can be switched to clip on backs, pricing- to make pieces affordable.
